Where to find one

git diff or git log -p -5 in your repo; a Claude Code session in ~/.claude/projects/; a Codex session in ~/.codex/sessions/; a Cursor chat exported as Markdown. On a computer you can also drop the file on the box: a .jsonl session, a .md export, a .diff or .patch, up to 400 KB.

What you paste is masked for keys and tokens in your browser and again on our server, sent once to our AI provider to write the explanation, and then dropped. The handoff is built from the same masked paste, with no AI call, and dropped with it. BuildGist keeps neither the paste nor what it wrote. It counts runs and handoff copies without keeping who made them. The sample is written ahead of time and is never sent to the AI provider. Privacy
